That's really neat! I wonder how it does going uphill though!

Here's a good discussion on which cargo bikes are best for semi hilly zones like ours: http://carfreedays.com/2008/01/25/neighborhood-cargo-bike-share/

I drive for Happy Rickshaw, and I know that weight on Cville hills is possible! All it takes to haul hundreds of pounds of people/things across the city is good route-planning, mechanical advantage, and a little bit of sweat!

I'll never forget my first time arriving in Holland when my romantic husband picked me up from the train station with a cargo bike. I sat on my bag and rode in the bucket located on the front of the bike. It was WAY FUN and I think that this bike would be a great solution for a mom with very young kids or grocery shopping or all sorts of things like that. I just hope it will someday catch on here in the states.
